Description
Badrinath is the most important of the Char Dham shrines, dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Badri Narayan). Located at 3,300 meters, the Badrinath Temple sits along the Alaknanda River, surrounded by the Nar-Narayan mountains. According to mythology, Lord Vishnu meditated here under the Badri tree. The temple’s architecture, featuring a vibrant facade and a gold-gilded sanctum, is a sight to behold. The nearby Tapt Kund, a natural hot water spring, is believed to have healing properties.
